DeLoach Vineyards produces many different varietals, but is particularly known for Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay. The winery is located in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley AVA.

DeLoach Vineyards is situated on a gorgeous piece of property that is a pleasure to visit. Along with the vineyards and recently updated tasting room, there is an inviting picnic area on the grounds.

In 1970, Cecil and Christine DeLoach bought a 24 acre Zinfandel vineyard in Russian River Valley from Louis Barbieri. They continued to purchase property throughout the 1970s, and Mr. DeLoach made his first wine in 1975.

Cecil DeLoach’s inaugural vintage consisted of 1,000 cases of Barbieri Ranch Zinfandel. A few years later, he expanded to Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, and White Zinfandel in 1979. DeLoach began making Chardonnay in 1980, and the wine became instantly popular. Production steadily increased throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and the DeLoach Family sold their label in 2003. They now own Hook & Ladder Vineyards.

Greg LaFollette is the current winemaker at DeLoach Vineyards. He graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Viticulture and Enology, and subsequently worked under Andre Tchelistcheff at Beaulieu Vineyard in the Rutherford AVA.

DeLoach produces many different wines in 4 different categories: OFS (Our Finest Selection), Russian River Valley Wines, Single-Vineyard Wines, and Club Exclusive. Their OFS Zinfandel is particularly good.
