Del Bondio is one of the oldest grape growing families in the Napa Valley. While they certainly have history, they are innovators as well. They recently completed a state of the art winemaking facility on Bella Oaks Lane in the Rutherford AVA. This ensures that they will be producing high quality wine for many more years

Del Bondio has been using only organic techniques in their vineyards for over 20 years. They adopted these environmentally friendly farming methods before it was trendy to do so. They are part of a relatively short list of growers that are 100% organically certified.

The winery owns two vineyards; one in Rutherford and the other in Oakville. The 31 acre Rutherford Estate is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon. These grapes are used to make Del Bondio’s well-received, 100% organic Cab. It is aged for 24 months in a combination of 60% French oak and 40% American oak.

Their 20 acre Oakville Estate is planted with Chardonnay and Chardonnay that is also 100% organic. They make an excellent Chardonnay that is aged in 100% French oak for several months before bottling. Like their Cab, the Oakville Syrah is aged in 60% French oak and 40% American oak.
