De La Montanya Vineyards & Winery is a family operated producer that is owned by Dennis and Tina De La Montanya. Several of their relatives are involved in the business as well. The family owns 153 acres of vines in several Sonoma County AVAs. They are best known for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Viognier.

Located in the Russian River Valley AVA, De La Montanya Estate & Tina’s Vineyard is planted with 16 acres of Pinot Noir, 7 acres of Chardonnay, 4 acres of Syrah, 2 acres of Viognier, and 2 acres of Pinot Meunier (a relatively rare red varietal that is one of the 3 classic grapes of Champagne).

Felta Creek Vineyard is just over the border in Dry Creek Valley. It is planted with 3 acres of the AVA’s most famous grape: Zinfandel. 1 acre of Primitivo is also planted. This grape is originally from the Puglia region of Southern Italy and is genetically similar to Zinfandel.

Red Grav is a 4 acre, Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard in Alexander Valley. The De La Montanya Family also owns 3 properties in the Sonoma Coast AVA: Christine Vineyards, Willow Vineyards, and Flying Rooster Ranch Vineyard.

Christine Vineyard is comprised of 11 acres of Pinot Noir, 5 acres of Chardonnay, and 4 acres of Pinot Gris. Willow Vineyards is planted with 6.5 acres of Chardonnay. Flying Rooster Ranch Vineyards is where the family is experimenting for future innovations. This property has a dizzying array of grapes including 18.5 acres of Pinot Noir, 3 acres of Sauvignon Blanc, 1 acre of Tempranillo, 1 acre of Petite Sirah, and .5 acres of the following grapes: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Muscat.
