Mark as Favorite

Established in 1994, David Coffaro Estate Vineyard produces Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignane, Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, and the Estate Cuvee. In addition to vinifying estate grapes, Mr. Coffaro buys fruit from a handful of other local growers.

David Coffaro Estate Vineyard is planted with 20 acres of vines in Northern Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley AVA. The property is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Carignane, and Barbera.

Mr. Coffaro is involved in all aspects of the production process, and aims to make wines that are, “Big, rich, complex, and balanced!” He has won many awards and accolades from top wine competitions and critics. In addition to selling bottled wines, Coffaro also offers futures for purchase.

The winery produced a wide range of small quantity wines for the 2005 vintage. These include the Bennett Valley Chardonnay, Alexander Valley Sangiovese, Estate Zinfandel, Barbera, Dry Creek Valley Petite Sirah, and Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc.

David Coffaro also made a number of excellent blends in 2005 including the Fresco (36% Alvarelhao, 34% Peloursin, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, Terre Mélange (43% Syrah, 34% Peloursin, 11% Mourvedre, 8% Carignane, and 4% Petite Sirah), “My Zin” (76% Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah, and 9% Cabernet Sauvignon), Price Family Zin (87% Zinfandel and 13% Tannat), Block 4 (50% Zinfandel, 25% Petite Sirah, 5% Peloursin, 5% Syrah, 5% Carignane, 10% other varietals), Escuro (34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Petite Sirah, 33% Tannat), and Aca Modot (63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot, and 8% Petite Verdot).
