Cosentino Winery is one of my favorite places to taste wine in Napa. The winery is located just north of the Yountville AVA in a particularly beautiful part of the valley. Cosentino produces over 30 different types of wine.

Region: Napa Valley
Sub Region: Oakville
Wine: View all wines

Cosentino Winery is located on Highway 29 in the Oakville AVA. Founder Mitch Cosentino has been producing wine since 1980 and moved to the Napa Valley in 1990. He sources many of the grapes for his 15,000 case production from different growers throughout California.

The winery produces over 30 different wines using 15 varietals. Most are made in small quantities and are given a lot of attention during the winemaking process. Cosentino’s tasting room is always interesting to visit because you never know what they may be pouring that day.

Notable blends include The Poet Red Meritage, M Coz Red Meritage, and The Novelist White Meritage. They also make very good Pinot Noir, Merlot, Gewurztraminer, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Cosentino is one of the few wineries in the state to make a Nebbiolo, and also produces a number of other Italian varietals.
