Constant Diamond Mountain Vineyard

Mark as Favorite

Constant Diamond Mountain Vineyard grows the most elevated vines in Napa Valley. Fred Constant can trace his property’s roots back to the 1890s. The vineyard was originally established during the last 19th century in conjunction with UC Davis.

Region: Napa Valley
Sub Region: Diamond Mountain

Unfortunately, all these original vines were uprooted after of Prohibition became law. After purchasing the property the early 1990s, Mr. Constant realized the potential of the mountain site and began planting a vineyard. He released his inaugural vintage in 1995.

Since then, the Constant has gained a reputation not only for excellence, but also for consistency. He focuses all of his attention on one extraordinary wine, made with 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Merlot. It is produced in extremely limited quantities and is one of the most sought after and expensive wines from the Napa Valley.

The Constant 2001 Diamond Mountain Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is an amazingly complex wine with a deep aroma and flavor profile. One of the great Napa Valley Cabs, this is truly a collector’s item that will continue to improve with age.
