Region: Napa Valley
Sub Region: Atlas Peak
Wine: View all wines

Cobblestone’s Atlas Peak vineyard is 25 acres and is planted with carefully selected clones of Cabernet Sauvignon. Jess Madrigal is the vineyard manager in Napa and Richard Smith is in charge of the vines in Monterey. Sam Baxter makes Cobblestone’s wines at Terra Valentine in the Spring Mountain AVA.

They make an excellent Chardonnay with fruit grown in Arroyo Seco. The grapes are fermented in a combination of stainless steel tanks and small oak barrels of different ages. This wine has vibrant lime and green apple flavors with a bit of vanilla from the French oak. A little over 680 cases were produced.

The Cobblestone Cabernet Sauvignon is labeled Napa Valley, but all of the grapes are grown in the Atlas Peak sub AVA. This is a complex wine with flavors of dark fruits, vanilla, spice, and chocolate. It was aged in French oak for 22 months. 1,150 cases were produced.
