Christopher Creek Winery is best known for producing Rhone varietals. All of their wines are made in limited amounts and total production is only 4,500 cases. The winery has a number of annual tasting events that are often free of charge.
The winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Chardonnay, and Viognier. Their critically acclaimed Rhone varietals are grown in the warm, northern part of the Russian River Valley.
Christopher Creek also makes Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel with grapes grown in the eastern hills of the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Their Cabernet Sauvignon has spicy plum flavors. It was aged in French oak for 18 months. Less than 400 cases are produced annually. The 2003 Zinfandel was aged in a mixture of French and American oak barrels. This is a fruit dominated wine framed by smooth tannins.
