Chateau Boswell is located in the St Helena AVA on the eastern side of Silverado Trail. The winery and tasting room were founded over 25 years ago and are located in a striking building.
The Chateau Boswell Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is made with 100% organically grown grapes. Only about 400 cases are produced each year and the vast majority is sold through the winery’s mailing list.
The winery also produces Cabernet Sauvignon from To Kalon Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon from Beckstoffer Vineyard IV, Syrah, and Chardonnay. In 2004, Drew Neiman was hired as winemaker.
The inaugural vintage of the barrel-aged Chardonnay was 1990. The grapes for this wine were sourced from the well-respected Dutton Vineyard in Russian River Valley. Like Chateau Boswell’s Cabernet Sauvignon, it is difficult to acquire.
