Ceja Vineyards

Ceja Vineyards is located on the Napa side of the Carneros AVA, but the winery makes wine from Napa and Sonoma County grapes. They are best known for Pinot Noir, Merlot, and Chardonnay.

In 1983, the Ceja Family bought their first 15 acres in Los Carneros. Three years later, they began developing vineyards on the land. The family has come a long way since then and they currently own 113 acres of vines.
Ceja Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery located in the heart of the Carneros AVA. Ceja makes a number of wines including Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and an interesting red blend of Pinot Noir and Syrah. The winery also produces Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and a white blend of Chardonnay, Marsanne, and Viognier.
The Ceja Syrah is made with grapes sourced from the Sonoma Coast AVA. This wine underwent maceration for an extended period of time to extract as much flavor as possible. 375 cases of were produced. Their Merlot is an excellent example of what Carneros can do with the varietal. 475 cases of this vibrant, balanced wine were produced. I also really like Ceja’s Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
