Several years ago, the Keith Family decided to plant eventually decided to plant the land with vineyards. Sustainable farming practices are central to their philosophy. The Keiths see themselves as custodians of the land. “Our winery is a tribute to the historical importance of the area,” Edward Keith has remarked. “We want to serve and educate everyone who visits our gorgeous ranch and vineyards.”

Catacula Lake was established in 2001 and has the most impressive tasting room in Chiles Valley. The Keiths also constructed a 15,000 square foot cave. They make Cabernet Sauvignon and old vine Zinfandel, both of which are very good values.
