MaryLee and Randle G. Johnson are the owners of Calafia Cellars. They focus all of their energy on producing an outstanding red Bordeaux blend from several Napa Valley vineyards.

Prior to starting his own venture, Randle worked for Souverain Winery, Mayacamas Vineyards, The Hess Collection, and Stags Leap Winery. In 1974, he graduated from UC Davis with an M.S. in Viticulture.

The 2003 Calafia Red Table Wine is a blend of 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Malbec, 10% Petit Verdot, and 1% Merlot. The grapes are from 5 different properties located in the St Helena and Mount Veeder AVAs. This wine was aged in 50% new French oak from the Troncais, Allier, and Vosges Forests. 240 cases were produced.
