Breggo Cellars is located in the Anderson Valley AVA. In Boontling, the local dialect, Breggo means “sheep.” The winery is located on Highway 128 between the towns of Booneville and Philo.
The 2005 Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir has dark cherry flavors. Richard Savoy planted his vineyard in 1991 and 1992. He also sells fruit to Hartford Court, Radio Coteau, Hartford Court, and Adrian Fogg. Breggo Cellars also makes the Ferrington Vineyard Pinot Noir as well as a Pinot from the general Anderson Valley AVA.
The 2005 Ferrington Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc has fresh grapefruit flavors with crisp acidity. The grapes used to make this wine were grown on vines that are 32 years old.
Breggo Cellars’ 2005 Savoy Vineyard Chardonnay has tropical fruit aromas with peach and apricot flavors. This wine was aged in French oak for 11 months, giving its fruit flavors good structure.
