Blossom Hill Winery

Blossom Hill Winery is one of the primary heirs to the old Almaden Empire in San Benito County. The winery currently produces the MG Vallejo, Glen Ellen, and Blossom Hill labels.

Located in the warm Paicines AVA, Blossom Hill Winery owns the majority of Almaden’s former vineyards in San Benito County. This amounts to about 700 acres of vines. Grapes from the property are used to make value driven wines. Diageo is the parent company of the Blossom Hill brand, which is most common in Britain.

Many of the grapes grown at Blossom Hill are sold to Sterling Vintners Collection and BV Coastal. Scheid Vineyards manages the vineyards and is currently converting and for several years has been converting the vines to varietals suitable for warm temperatures. The major focus has been on Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

Blossom Hill owns some valuable Barbera vines that were planted during the 1960s. This fruit is used for the BV Signet label.

This wine became one of our favourites. We have tried to purchase some more of Blossom Hill-06 SB, but failed to get hold of it. We bought it first through Australian wine club. Is there anyone who can help us?
