Belvedere Winery is located near the town of Healdsburg. Troy McEnery and Melissa Bates are the winemakers. They both have extensive resumes and makes excellent wines from several AVAs.

Belvedere Winery is located in the Dry Creek Valley, but sources grapes from several Sonoma AVAs. Their Dry Creek production focuses on Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Belvedere also makes an excellent Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley AVA.

Their Russian River production focuses on Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. McEnery and Bates also make a great Pinot Noir from the AVA.

The Belvedere 2000 Healdsburg Ranches Zinfandel is made with Dry Creek Valley grapes. This is a good example of a fruit-driven, Dry Creek Zinfandel. It tastes great by itself, or with hearty foods.

If you like subtle Merlots, the 2001 Healdsburg Ranches Merlot is a winner. Different vineyards from Alexander Dry Creek Valley contribute fruit to this wine. The Dry Creek grapes come from an advantageous, hillside location.

The Belvedere 2001 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is a blend of grapes from three different vineyards. It is vibrant, yet not overwhelmingly full bodied. This wine is a worthy ambassador of the AVA’s highly respected Pinot Noir production.

Belvedere’s NV Jest Red is an affordable, everyday wine that does not compromise on flavor. As the name implies, it is a relaxed wine that drinks very well.
