Part of the Royal Wine Corp, Baron Herzog Wine Cellars has been making kosher wine since 1986. But the Herzog Family has been making wine since the mid 19th century.

Baron Herzog Wine Cellars is an integral part of the Royal Wine Corporation. The history of the Royal Wine Corp dates to 1848, when the Herzog family produced wine for the Emperor Franz Joseph of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. They were a mainstay in the European wine industry until World War II, when the Nazis took over operations of their winery.
After the allied victory in WWII, the Herzogs moved to the United States, bringing their winemaking expertise with them. All of their products are certified kosher, and are up held to the highest standards of purity and cleanliness.
Baron Herzog Wine Cellars is a member of the Zinfandel Advocates and Producers Association, and produces several Zinfandels. Winemaker Peter Stern also produces a number of Cabernet Sauvignon blends, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Syrah, as well as sparkling and desert wines. The winery is has a large production facility in the Santa Maria Valley AVA.
