Armagh Vineyard

Established in 1997, Armagh Vineyard is located in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Although the land is planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah, Armagh only makes a couple hundred cases of Syrah each year and sells the other grapes.

Armagh Vineyard is an 11 acre property that is planted with 6 acres of Pinot Noir, 4 acres of Chardonnay, and 1 acre of Syrah. The estate is situated in hills of Chileno Valley that separate the town of Petaluma from Tomales Bay.
The winery focuses all of its efforts on producing a tiny amount of Syrah; the Pinot Noir is sold to Savannah Chanelle Vineyards and CL Wines, while the Chardonnay is sold to Landmark Vineyards and Blackford Wines.
Armagh’s Syrah is quite critically acclaimed and is a great cool-weather example of this varietal. The 2001 vintage was rated 91 points by Wine Spectator and 89 points by Robert Parker of The Wine Advocate. Retailing for $25, this wine is an excellent value as well.
