Amista Vineyards

In 2002, Vicky and Mike Farrow established Amista Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The winery’s name translates to, “it makes friends.” Over the years, the Farrows’ friends have been a constant source of support for the couple’s winemaking aspirations.

Amista Vineyards is located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA in Northern Sonoma County. Owners Vicky and Mike Farrow specialize in producing Syrah, Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
In 1994, Mike Farrow planted his first Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the backyard of his Saratoga home. In 1999, the Farrows bought 20 acres of land in Dry Creek Valley that was planted with some Chardonnay vines. The property also had a quaint home on it that dated to 1908.
After restoring the property, the Farrows moved to their new home in 2002. They have been professionally growing grapes and making wine ever since. Chris Wills is the consulting winemaker for Amista Vineyards. He has previously made wine for Lake Sonoma Winery and Kenwood.
