Frangipani Estate Winery’s owner and winemaker Don Frangipani first learned winemaking in 1995, when he worked at Cilurzo winery. Utilizing his experience, Mr. Frangipani and his wife Joann purchased the estate in 2006 and began fulfilling their dream to create vibrant wines with a zeal for Bordeaux-style wines.
Hart Winery is a family winery, founded by Joe and Nancy Hart who settled in the Temecula Valley in the 1970s. Soon after moving to Temecula’s wine country, they started planted their first vines. That vineyard featured Syrah, Viognier, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc.
Longshadow Ranch Vineyard & Winery prides itself on its rustic California ranch setting. John and Susan Brodersen and their family own and operate the winery. Some of their varietals are Merlot, Petite Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cinsault, Tempranillo, Syrah, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Lorimar Winery & Vineyards is owned by Mark Manfield and Lawrie Lipton. The Lorimar tasting room in old town Temecula reflects these passions, which Mr. Manfield and Mr. Lipton believe are integral to each other. The tasting room holds many special events, such as artwork exhibits and live music.
Lumiere Winery is one of Temecula’s newest wineries. Owner and winemaker Andrew Kleiner decided about a decade ago to regain control over vineyards his family owned but were leased to another winery. Mr. Kleiner became concerned about the stewardship of the land, and, with the blessing of his father, took over the vineyard.
The winery owner Wilmer Yabar originally hails from Peru and traces his ancestry to Spain. He and his brother decided to follow a dream and purchased property in San Juan, Argentina. Dr. Yabar, who has studied viticulture and wine-making, needed to remain close to home and felt Temecula was the perfect place to set up his winery.
