Green Valley Wineries (Back to overview)
There are several great wineries in Green Valley. These producers largely focus on quality rather than quantity. Despite the relatively small number of wineries, there are over 100 growers in the region.
Orogeny Vineyards
Orogeny Vineyards focuses all of their attention on crafting exquisite Pinot Noir from the Green Valley sub-AVA within the broader Russian River Valley. Orogeny is owned by the Chalone Wine Group.
Dutton-Goldfield Winery
Established in 1998, Dutton-Goldfield Winery is a partnership between Grape Grower Steve Dutton and Winemaker Dan Goldfield. Steve Dutton’s parents, Warren and Gail, began planting grapes in 1964.
Hartford Court Winery
Hartford Court Winery specializes in Pinot Noir, but also makes Chardonnay and Zinfandel. Located in the town of Forestville, they also produce a rare Pinot Noir from Marin County.
DeBurca Winery
DeBurca Winery is owned and operated by husband and wife, Dermot and Darice Bourke. The couple bought their land in 1997 and planted it with grapes the following year. Their first harvest was in 2000.
Marimar Estate
Marimar Estate is an impressive winery that is owned by Marimar Torres. With vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast AVAs, the estate makes excellent Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Vineyard practices are executed with meticulous attention to detail.
Taft Street Winery
In 1982, Taft Street Winery was established in Sonoma County’s Green Valley. The winery sources grapes from Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Alexander Valley.
Eric Ross Winery
Eric Ross Winery is based in Green Valley, has a tasting room in Sonoma Valley, and sources grapes from the Sonoma Coast and Green Valley wine regions. Eric Luse and John Ross Storey established the winery in 1994.
Iron Horse Vineyards
Iron Horse Vineyards is an institution in the Green Valley AVA. Some the region's most important vintners have helped to shape this hugely successful winery. Their wines have been served in the White House several times.
Peters Family Winery
Peters Family Winery is a small producer that specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from Sonoma County’s Green Valley, Carneros, and the Sonoma Coast, as well as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sierra Foothills.
