Dry Creek Valley Wineries (Back to overview)

Dry Creek Valley is located northwest of the town of Healdsburg in Northern Sonoma County. There are currently over 40 wineries in the AVA.
Fritz Winery
Fritz Winery is located in Northern Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley AVA. Fritz makes Old Vine Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc from vines surrounding the production facilities. Russian River Valley Chardonnay is also produced.
Dry Creek Vineyard
Dry Creek Vineyard makes a very wide range of very well-priced wines. It is noteable for being the first winery to be opened in the region after Prohibition. Their Dry Creek Meritage is a graceful blend.
Everett Ridge Vineyards & Winery
Everett Ridge Vineyards & Winery is located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. This small, premium quality producer is owned by the Sterling Family of Esterlina Vineyards in Anderson Valley.
Puccioni Vineyards
Located in the town of Healdsburg, Puccioni Vineyards is a small, family producer of distinctive wines. The Puccioni Family has been growing prized Zinfandel since 1904 when Angelo bought 168 acres in Northern Sonoma County and planted vineyards.
Amista Vineyards
In 2002, Vicky and Mike Farrow established Amista Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The winery’s name translates to, “it makes friends.” Over the years, the Farrows’ friends have been a constant source of support for the couple’s winemaking aspirations.
David Coffaro Estate Vineyard
Established in 1994, David Coffaro Estate Vineyard produces Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignane, Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc, and the Estate Cuvee. In addition to vinifying estate grapes, Mr. Coffaro buys fruit from a handful of other local growers.
Ferrari Carano
Ferrari Carano owns several different vineyards throughout Sonoma County. They make an excellent Merlot with grapes from the Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley AVAs.
Lambert Bridge
Lambert Bridge is located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Founder Gerard Lambert began planting vineyards in 1969 and completed the construction of his winery in 1975. The Chambers Family purchased the property in 1993.
Rafanelli Winery
Rafanelli Winery is located in the town of Healdsburg and produces Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. The Rafanelli Family has been growing grapes in Sonoma County for four generations.
Quivira Vineyards
Located in Northern Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley AVA, Quivira Vineyards specializes in producing Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc. The winery also makes Petite Sirah and a limited amount of wine from Rhone varietals.
Hawley Wine
Hawley Wine is produced in the hills of the Dry Creek Valley wine region in Sonoma County. Winemaker John Hawley produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Viognier, and Chardonnay from his hillside vines.
Chateau Diana Winery
Chateau Diana Winery is best known for producing the Black Oak Vineyards label. In addition to Black Oak, Chateau Diana also bottles wine under Manning Estates and Zoe Vineyards.
Lake Sonoma Winery
Lake Sonoma Winery is located in the northern part of the Dry Creek Valley. Views from the winery are particularly beautiful in an already stunning AVA. Gary Heck is the owner of the winery and vineyards.
Kachina Vineyards
Kachina Vineyards was established about five years ago by Greg and Nancy Chambers. They produce about 500 cases of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Port.
Amphora Wines
Rick Hutchinson is the winemaker and owner of Amphora Wines. He currently produces Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot.
Armida Winery
Armida Winery is a critically acclaimed producer located in the town of Healdsburg. Armida makes wines from Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley, Santa Maria Valley, and the Sonoma Coast.
Collier Falls Vineyards
Collier Falls Vineyards is located in the northwestern hills of the Dry Creek Valley AVA. In 1997, the property was renamed by the Barry and Susan Collier. But vineyards have been cultivated on this land since 1982.
Alderbrook Vineyards
Alderbrook Vineyards and Winery is located in the town of Healdsburg. They are known for producing wines with unmistakable varietal characteristics as well as a sense of place.
Brogan Cellars
Located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA, Brogan Cellars specializes in Sonoma County Pinot Noir. The winery is based in the small town of Healdsburg, and sources grapes from several premium vineyards.
Bella Vineyards
In 1995, Scott and Lynn Adams established Bella Vineyards in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The couple focused on growing grapes for several years until producing their inaugural vintage in 1999.
Bradford Mountain Winery
Located in hills surrounding Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley, Bradford Mountain Winery is owned by George Hambrecht. For several years, Mr. Hambrecht sold his grapes to other wineries, but recently started his own label.
Deux Amis
Located in Northern Sonoma County, Deux Amis is a collaboration between Phyllis Zouzounis and Jim Penpraze. Quite fittingly, the winery’s name is French for, “two friends.”
Duchamp Winery
Duchamp Winery produces outstanding Estate Syrah in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Owners Peter and Pat Lenz have been in the food, wine, and hospitality business for many years.
Dutcher Crossing Winery
Dutcher Crossing Winery is located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The Nevins and Stephens Families are involved in every part of the winemaking process; from farming to retailing.
Pena Ridge
Pena Ridge produces estate wines from Piccetti Family Vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley AVA. The winery’s 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon won a Double Gold in the 2007 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
Nalle Winery
Nalle Winery is a Zinfandel specialist in Dry Creek Valley. Owner Doug Nalle is one of the Godfathers of balanced Zin. His descendants, the Henderlongs, bought the family estate in 1927.
Sbragia Family Vineyards
Sbragia Family Vineyards is owned by Ed Sbragia, the long-time winemaker at Beringer Vineyard. His oldest son, Adam, assists him in the cellar. The winery’s 2004 Home Ranch Chardonnay was recently ranked #72 on Wine Spectator’s 2006 Top 100 list.
Teldeschi Winery
Teldeschi Winery is a premium wine producer in Dry Creek Valley. The Teldeschi Family owns approximately 70 acres of vineyards in the AVA and makes mainly Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Muscat.
Pezzi King Vineyards
Pezzi King Vineyards is located in Northern Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley AVA. The winery is best known for Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc but also makes several other varietals.
Preston Vineyards
Preston Vineyards is a small, family owned winery that is 100% organic. In 1974, Lou Preston was the Founding Director of the Dry Creek Valley Association. His winery is located in the Dry Creek Valley AVA of Northern Sonoma County.
Rancho Zabaco
Located in Dry Creek Valley, Rancho Zabaco is best known for Zinfandel but also produces excellent Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Gris. Additionally, the winery makes Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc under the Dancing Bull label.
Wilson Winery
Established in 1993, Wilson Winery is located on the old site of Fredson Winery in Dry Creek Valley. Owners Diane and Ken Wilson produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel and Syrah.
Yoakim Bridge Winery
Yoakim Bridge Winery is located on an idyllic piece of land in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley AVA. Like many local wineries, Yoakin Bridge is renowned for their head-trained Zinfandel vines.
