The Chalk Hill sub-AVA is in the eastern hills of Russian River Valley. Local wineries produce excellent Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Chalk Hill Estate

Owned by Frederick and Peggy Furth, Chalk Hill Estate encompasses an impressive array of varietals and vineyard lots. The Furths’ beautiful 1,200 acre property contains 60 distinct vineyards.

Chateau Felice

In 1998, Barry and Phyllis Rodgers began planting their vineyards in the Chalk Hill AVA. In 2001, the Rodgers produced the inaugural vintage at Chateau Felice, their brand new winery.

Rodney Strong Vineyards

Rodney Strong Vineyards was one of the Post-Prohibition pioneers in Sonoma County. Located in the town of Windsor, their flagship Chardonnay is made with grapes grown in the Chalk Hill AVA. The winery's production is extensive and is made with many different varietals grown in different AVAs.

Albini Family Vineyards

Located in the Chalk Hill wine region, Albini Family Vineyards makes about 500 cases of well received Zinfandel and Merlot each year. No detail is overlooked in their limited production.
