Ben Lomond Wineries (Back to overview)
Ben Lomond wineries are currently bouncing back from their second major setback of the 20th century. First, it was Prohibition, which spared few wineries in the state. Then, in the late 1980s when things were going well, Pierces Disease struck. Through it all, local Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Chardonnay are better than ever.
Beauregard Vineyards
Beauregard Vineyards is a premium quality producer that makes Syrah and Pinot Noir. They buy Syrah from Zayante Vineyard and grow Pinot Noir in their Trout Gulch Vineyard.
Hallcrest Vineyards
In 1941, Hallcrest Vineyards was established by Chaffee Hall. His family had owned the property since the 1880s. Hall built his winery in 1945 and made his first vintage the following year.
McHenry Vineyard
McHenry Vineyard was first planted in 1972. From the beginning, the McHenry Family has focused on Pinot Noir.
