Scott Flint recently established Flint Wine Cellars. What began as a garage operation has gained quite a following. Flint learned his trade working as the cellar master at Calera for many years.

Former fencing contractor Frank Leal owns Leal Vineyards. He does not compromise in any aspect of his operation, and is extremely detail oriented. His wines have a dedicated following.

DeRose Vineyards

In 1988, Pat DeRose bought part of the old Almaden property from Hublein. He immediately began revitalizing the vineyard and planting new vines. DeRose owns some of the last remaining Negrette vines in the world. They are over 120 years old. The winery also specializes in Zinfandel and Cabernet Franc.

Pietra Santa Winery

Pietra Santa Winery is located in the town of Hollister in the Cienega Valley AVA. The winery is owned by John and Phyllis Blackburn as well as their son Cortlandt.
