Chiles Valley Wineries (Back to overview)

There are several small, family owned wineries in the Chiles Valley AVA. Local producers are best known for Zinfandel, but also for Cabernet Sauvignon. Catacula Lake Winery recently built an impressive tasting room in Chiles Valley, which is about 15 miles east of Silverado Trail.
Brown Estate
Brown Estate recently marked their 25th year of growing grapes and 10th year of making wine. They produce Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, but have the largest following for their Zinfandel.
Catacula Lake Winery
Located in the heart of Chiles Valley, Catacula Lake Winery is primarily planted with Bordeaux varietals. This historical property has produced several award winning wines.
Eagle & Rose Estate
Eagle & Rose Estate is owned by Norman Alumbaugh. He makes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The winery is named after the abundant roses on the ground and occasional eagle in the sky.
Green & Red Vineyard
Green & Red Vineyard is located in the Chiles Valley wine region in the eastern hills of the Napa Valley AVA. The vineyard is named after its oxidized red soils with green serpentine deposits.
Nichelini Winery
Nichelini Winery was established by Swiss-Italian immigrant Anton Nichelini in 1884. The current owners are the third generation of the Nichelini Family. They continue to harvest a few vines that Anton planted in 1890. At 116 years old, these are some of the oldest vines in all of Napa Valley.
RustRidge Ranch
RustRidge Ranch and Winery not only breeds world class race horses, but they also produce notable wines. The two main interests of owner Susan Meyer’s life are the focus of her estate. Winemaker and husband Jim, produces some of the best wines from Chiles Valley.
Volker Eisele
Volker Eisele Family Estate is owned by Volker and Liesel Eisele. Their daughter, Christine, son, Alexander, and daughter-in-law, Catherine, are all involved in the winery’s operations.
