Napa-Carneros Wineries (Back to overview)

There are many serious wineries located on the Napa Valley side of the Carneros AVA. This is one of the first places in California that Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were taken seriously.
Domaine Carneros
Domaine Carneros is an impressive winery located just off the Carneros Highway. It is one of the best sparkling wine producers in America. Eileen Crane is the head winemaker.
Artesa Winery
In 1997, Codorniu Napa was renamed Artesa Winery. The Codorniu Family has been making wine for an astounding 15 generations. Their philosophy is, "Our roots are in Carneros, but our reach is long."
Saintsbury
Saintsbury founders David Graves and Richard Ward were pioneers in Carneros. They were among the first to experiment with different Pinot Noir clones. Saintsbury’s Pinot Noir Vineyard Series is a collection of several single vineyard Pinots from some of the best properties in Carneros.

Casa Carneros
Casa Carneros is a tiny producer that prides itself on Pinot Noir and Merlot. These wines truly have personality; you can taste the passion of the owners in each sip. The 7 acre Casa Carneros Vineyard is owned by Melissa Moravec and Kurt Reaume. There are few more attentive custodians of the land than this couple.
Carneros Creek Winery - Mahoney Vineyards
In 1972, Carneros Creek Winery was established by Francis and Kathy Mahoney. They set out to produce Pinot Noir that could compete with Burgundy. Since then, they have been one of the pioneers in the AVA's re-birth.
